Biography
Neil joined Irwin Mitchell in 2014, becoming Finance Director for the LLP in 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years post qualification experience.
He has extensive experience of performing senior roles across a number of sectors including Distribution, Leisure, FMCG, Financial Services and Professional Services.
His experience includes working in a number of regulated sectors and listed businesses, and was previously Group Financial Controller at Oval Insurance Broking for six years, which was Private Equity backed, prior to the Acquisition by AJ Gallagher & Co. He was responsible for internal and external financial reporting, tax, compliance with FCA financial regulations, controls and processes and banking relationships.
Prior to this he was Finance Director at Grampian Country Pork and UK Financial Controller for Tibbett & Britten PLC for five years.
He studied Accountancy and Financial Management at the University of Sheffield, before joining Ernst & Young and qualifying in 1997.
