Biography
I'm a Paralegal within Irwin Mitchell's Serious Injury Team based at the Birmingham Office.
I manage my own caseload, whilst also assisting my colleagues within the team on a variety of cases, including those involving orthopaedic injuries, amputations, brain injuries and accidents resulting in death.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
At Irwin Mitchell, we are very fortunate to be able to offer our clients a package of services to support them throughout their case, such as referring them to the Welfare Benefits Team to help them with applications for benefits.
As a junior member of staff, I am also very grateful for the support and guidance I receive from my colleagues. I am able to learn from members of my team who are experts in their field and expand my knowledge to help me in providing the best advice for my clients.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
Being able to see the difference that the therapies and financial support obtained throughout a case has on clients. All of our clients come to us during one of the most difficult times in their lives, and it is incredibly rewarding to be able to support them during this.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I really enjoyed studying Law at University. I liked that what I was learning was applicable to real-life scenarios. I wanted to be able to use my academic interest in the subject to build an interesting and rewarding career where I was able to use my knowledge and skills to help others.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
When I am away from the office, I enjoy reading and socialising with friends and family. I like going to the gym and horse riding. I also try and head off on holiday to explore new places whenever I can.
