Biography
I'm a solicitor in the Public Law & Human Rights department in Southampton. I joined the firm in February 2021 shortly after qualifying. I trained in Cardiff, Wales and therefore have experience with both English and Welsh legislation.
I specialise in deprivation of liberty and health and welfare cases in the Court of Protection. I can also assist with Care needs assessments as well as care and support plans. Most importantly, challenging NHS Continuing Healthcare funding decisions.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I studied Criminology in University and then decided I wanted to help people with legal issues. Public law is a very interesting area of law and I can help people with a wide range of issues.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I can help people with issues that impact their everyday life. I work with some vulnerable people and I appreciate being able to help them.
What Do You Like About Working With Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell respects and cares for their staff. I also like that my work is varied and interesting and I have the chance to develop.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
When I have some spare time I like to be in the wilderness and photograph nature, especially birds. I also like to cook and bake bread.
