Biography
I’m a Costs Draftsman and I’ve been working in the field of costs since 2001. Initially working at two small PI firms, I moved to Irwin Mitchell in 2018. I have experience in preparing all types of legal bills, budgets and schedules as well as negotiating on these.
I’m a Team Leader within the Costs Management Team and I deal with cases from our Sheffield office.
What inspired you to get into law?
Initially, I entered the legal profession by accident as I was unhappy in my previous employment. However, once I had started working in costs I realised it was an area that I enjoyed working in and have continued to enjoy it over the years.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
As a Deputy Team Leader. I like helping my team members with any issues that they may have, whether work related or personal.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I enjoy working within a team at Irwin Mitchell and feel that, despite being a large firm, it has time to look after their clients and staff and make sure that their needs are catered for.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office, I watch a lot of sport, particularly cricket, football and the NFL. I also enjoy watching rugby, golf and almost any sports (except motor racing).
I have hung up my boots playing sport other than the occasional game of golf. Other than sport, I enjoy walking my dog and spending time with my family.
