Police Continuing To Investigate Matter
A person has been arrested and released on bail in relation to a claim of sexual assault at Greenlands Nursery Infant School in Sheffield.
The school has been closed following a meeting held by the police and council officials last night (October 18th), in which they updated parents on the issue and discussed the action being taken in relation to it.
In a statement, South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that one person was arrested and questioned in relation to the matter, but has been released pending further enquiries.
Gary Walker, a specialist solicitor at Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office, said: “This allegation is obviously very serious and every effort needs to be made to get to the bottom of the matter as quickly as possible.
“It goes without saying that the families of all of the pupils who attend Greenlands Nursery Infant School will have concerns following news of the issue and we hope that reassurances can be provided over safety at the site as soon as possible.”
