New Senior Associate Appointed
Law firm Irwin Mitchell has added to its renowned northern Regulatory & Criminal Investigations Group (RCG) by appointing a new Senior Associate to work across the Sheffield and Manchester offices.
Joanne Hall moves north from the London office to join the RCG North team at Irwin Mitchell as a qualified barrister and has spent time on secondment to both the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and Financial Services Authority (FSA).
The team now comprises of 11 people in the North and also draws on expertise from other offices, including London when required to ensure the most appropriate expertise for each case. This includes the ability to put together multi-disciplinary legal teams to deal with matters involving, for example, a civil, or employment law element.

The Irwin Mitchell RCG team has a strong reputation for defending complicated criminal investigations and prosecutions and is currently handling a caseload where the fraud is alleged to exceed £150m.
Irwin Mitchell has seen a rise in the number of instructions to defend in criminal fraud cases recently, including include those brought by HM Revenue and Customs, the Fraud Prosecution Teams of the Crown Prosecution Service and the Serious Fraud Office.
