Leanne has a particular specialism in contentious work and is experienced in representing clients in Employment Tribunals in a wide range of claims including breach of contract, unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and TUPE.
She advises both employers and employees and works closely with her clients in order to achieve positive and practical outcomes.
Leanne also works in the specialist Legal Expenses Insurance team, representing both employees and employers who have the benefit of legal expense insurance funding.
- Successfully represented a client who had been dismissed for gross misconduct. The employer vigorously defended the matter, but following a successful hearing, the client was re-engaged and he was compensated for two years of financial loss, including all bonuses, pay rises and overtime.
- Negotiated a settlement for a client who had been unfairly dismissed and achieved a severance payment of over 18 months’ salary.
- Negotiated a favourable settlement for a client who had been dismissed as a result of her pregnancy after being employed for just one week.
Leanne qualified as a solicitor in 2014.
