
Expert lawyers represent Harrods sexual abuse survivors as new allegations emerge that Mohammed Al Fayed's brother also abused workers

It's understood more than 400 people have come forward in relation to the sexual abuse which they experienced at the hands of former Harrods owner Mohammed Al Fayed.

And today there have been fresh allegations from three women that Al Fayed's brother, Salah Fayed, sexually assaulted them while they were working for the department store. While a spokesperson for Salah Fayed denied the allegations, they will no doubt come as a shock to many and cause further anguish.
Irwin Mitchell’s abuse team is representing survivors who say they experienced abuse within the Harrods business. The survivors have concerns as to how such abuse was seemingly allowed to go unchallenged for many years.
Therefore, it’s incredibly worrying to see further reports of abuse, indicating that the scale and extent of problems throughout the Harrods business may have been much larger than first anticipated.
For the sake of all of the individuals involved it’s vital that the investigations continue as quickly and as thoroughly as possible to provide more information regarding these issues and to ensure that where possible people are held to account.
Through my work on behalf of individuals who have experienced abuse, I understand the huge physical and psychological toll that such abuse can have. It’s paramount that anyone affected by these issues are supported so they can try and move forward with their lives.
It’s now vital that Harrods ensures that the individuals who have come forward are provided with the answers they deserve as to how this conduct was allowed to go on and to continue for so long.
