Former doctor Nathaniel Spencer charged with multiple sexual offences involving patients

Judge gavel and law books in court, law and justice background concept

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has announced sexual abuse charges against a doctor, Nathaniel Spencer, 38, of Quinton, Birmingham, following what it has described as a detailed and complex investigation by Staffordshire Police.

05.12.2025

Spencer, a former doctor, is alleged to have committed offences against 38 patients between 2017 and 2021. The CPS announced the following charges:

  • 15 counts of sexual assault.
  • 17 counts of assault by penetration.
  • 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
  • 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 20 January, 2026.

At this stage, these remain allegations, and criminal proceedings are active. It’s important the legal process is allowed to continue unhindered.

I hope that all individuals affected are receiving the support they need during this difficult time.
