On 14 October 2011 a Moremi Air charter flight carrying 12 people crashed shortly after takeoff from Xakanaxa airfield in Botswana. The aircraft was a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan and was being flown by Martin Gresswell, who was an experienced British pilot. He and seven passengers were tragically killed.
