Compensation for negligent heart surgery transplant

I helped my client, Dan, secure answers and compensation following serious complications during his heart transplant surgery. Following my investigation, the case settled shortly before trial, securing compensation to support Dan’s ongoing care, home adaptations, and future needs. I also introduced Dan to The Golf Trust as part of his rehabilitation. Through this partnership, he was able to rediscover his passion for golf using specialist equipment.

Settlement after traumatic birth caused psychological injury

I helped Safaa get the answers and compensation she needed after the traumatic birth of her son left her with lasting psychological injuries. Working with independent medical experts, I investigated the care she received and presented our findings to Barts Health NHS Trust. Following its own investigation, the Trust found several failings in foetal monitoring during labour, admitted liability, and agreed to compensate Safaa for the trauma caused by the substandard care. Supporting Safaa in securing both acknowledgement of what went wrong and a sense of closure was an important part of the case.

Six-figure settlement in safeguarding negligence claim

I secured compensation for my client after he suffered life-changing injuries when a hospital failed to safeguard him appropriately. While disorientated following a seizure, he was able to access an open window and fell, sustaining serious brain, skull and orthopaedic injuries. Acting on behalf of my client and his wife, I worked with independent medical experts who concluded that inadequate safeguarding amounted to medical negligence. After our investigation, the hospital admitted liability, and I secured a six-figure settlement before trial.

My role is to guide my clients through the claims process with clarity and compassion. I take the time to understand the impact their injury has had on their life, investigate what happened, and work with leading medical, care, rehabilitation and prosthetics experts where needed.

I build the evidence needed to prove the claim and pursue the compensation needed to meet both immediate and long-term needs.

We can usually meet in the way that works best for you, whether that’s by video call, telephone, at one of our offices, or sometimes at your home or another suitable location depending on your circumstances. The aim is to make the process as accessible and comfortable as possible.

During the meeting, I’ll talk through the background to the potential claim, including the treatment received, the concerns you have, and the impact on your day-to-day life. I’ll also explain the legal process in clear terms, including what we would need to investigate, how medical records and expert evidence are used, how funding may work, and what the next steps would be if you decide to go ahead.
