Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK appoints Irwin Mitchell partner Ricardo Geada to Council

Irwin Mitchell regulatory partner Ricardo Geada has been elected to the Council of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK.

Founded in 1979, the Chamber is a business organisation that promotes trade and investment between Portugal and the UK, offering events, networking, and support services for companies and individuals.

Ricardo will take up the role at the Council’s next meeting in November, bringing his international business and regulatory experience to support the Chamber’s work and its members.

Ricardo, who co-heads Irwin Mitchell’s Spain and Portugal desk with Jess Fazzone, is part of the firm's wider international group, which supports clients across a range of jurisdictions through its network of international desks and relationships. He advises businesses on regulatory, compliance and international expansion matters and is a recognised adviser to the legal cannabis sector, medical cannabis and CBD wellness products. He also advises on matters involving crypto and digital assets.

The appointment further strengthens Irwin Mitchell's connections with the Portuguese business community and complements the firm's broader international strategy. Through its international desks and global network of legal and professional contacts, the firm supports clients investing, trading and expanding across multiple jurisdictions. This role will help deepen relationships between the Chamber, its members and Irwin Mitchell's international teams.
