Zimmer Biomet NexGen knee implant claims
In 2022, Zimmer Biomet recalled certain NexGen Complete Knee Solution implants following concerns that some implant combinations may have been associated with higher-than-expected failure rates and premature loosening of the tibial component.
Many people report experiencing ongoing pain, reduced mobility and, in some cases, the need for revision surgery after their implant allegedly failed earlier than expected.
We're representing a large number of affected patients and have been appointed by the High Court as the lead law firm for claimants in the group litigation. This means we're coordinating the legal action on behalf of those bringing claims and working alongside other firms involved in the proceedings. Bringing claims together can help streamline the legal process, avoid duplication of work and reduce costs compared to pursuing claims individually.
More than 50 patients have already come forward, with a number of cases progressing through the courts and 24 claims already issued in the High Court.
The High Court has set a deadline of 13 November 2026 for eligible claims to be registered with the court as part of the group action.
