Opportunities for young people aged 16-18
We currently offer work experience for young people aged 16-18 (and not attending university) through our long-standing partnership with PRIMED for Law. PRIMED for Law provides structured work experience to young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
At present, we are unable to offer individual work experience placements or internships outside of our PRIMED for Law partnership.
Career Insights
Career Insights is a one-day programme designed to give students an insight into working at a law firm. Throughout the day, students will meet colleagues from across Irwin Mitchell and take part in interactive sessions designed to build their understanding of the legal profession and the skills used in the workplace.
Career Insights is open to applicants aged 16–18 who are in Years 12 or 13, are not attending university and can reasonably commute to one of the offices where the programme is being delivered on programme days.
The programme will take place on the following dates:
- Manchester — Tuesday 16 February
- Birmingham — Tuesday 6 April
- Leeds — Tuesday 13 April
- Sheffield — Tuesday 17 August
- London — Tuesday 24 August
