Audit Apprenticeship

"This apprenticeship provides invaluable insight into how internal audit works, whilst working your way up to becoming a competent auditor with a recognised qualification."

Lorcan Seery, Apprentice Manager

The programme

The Internal Audit team is key to supporting Irwin Mitchell in achieving its strategic objectives, enhancing risk management and improving its control environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come in as a new apprentice and member of the team to gain invaluable insight into how the Internal Audit team works and work your way up to becoming a competent auditor with a well-recognised qualification.

As an Internal Auditor based in London within the Internal Audit function you will develop relationships throughout Irwin Mitchell at all levels to really understand what makes Irwin Mitchell tick, how our teams work together and why risk and control management is so important. You will learn and perform the full audit cycle from risk assessment right through to planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow up and providing regular and insightful feedback to stakeholders. This will enable enhancements of our key processes, controls and operations.

Further ad hoc assignments such as investigations, root cause analysis and lessons learned reviews will further enrich your experience and develop your analytical and technical knowledge and skills. The Internal Audit team takes a human, empathic approach to develop a deep understanding of Irwin Mitchell while using its strong knowledge of governance, risk and controls to help Irwin Mitchell and its people achieve its goals and build a robust, efficient and effective control environment.

This is initially a 24-month fixed term contract but with the possibility of permanency post apprenticeship completion.

We're now closed for 2024, but you can sign up for vacancy alerts for any future apprenticeship vacancies.
