Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship
Our Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship is based within our friendly finance, risk and procurement team.

The programme
During your apprenticeship, you will learn on the job while supporting our finance and accounting activity for the organisation. You’ll get involved in a wide range of tasks, including:
- Checking and processing of accounts on our accounting system to meet tight deadlines
- Working on the group’s reconciliation and treasury system
- Assist the accounting function with month end activity
- Dealing with client queries to point of resolution.
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within the finance and accounting arena. At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll come away with a valuable industry-accredited accounting qualification. If you have a genuine passion for finance/accounting, an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) apprenticeship could be perfect for you.

What will I study?
Our training partner Damar will support the delivery of your AAT accounting technician training. The AAT is a professional body that specialises in training for accounting technicians. You’ll spend most of your time at work getting exposure and involvement in finance and accounting activities, with some dedicated time to spend on your apprenticeship each week. Your academic learning will cover most aspects of tax and accounting.
This 17-month apprenticeship programme is formed of ten carefully planned and sequenced 6-week modules that help apprentices learn and apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for each of the core occupational duties undertaken by assistant accountants.
You can find more information on what you’ll study and the sort of work you’ll do as part of your apprenticeship on the Damar website Accounting Apprenticeships - Damar Training. This course is a great way to build your skills towards an AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting as well as the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship badge of honour, while also earning a wage.
