Tax Technician Apprenticeship
"I personally preferred the apprenticeship route instead of university as you "earn while you learn". You are earning money in full time employment whilst gaining a professional qualification that you can then use in your day-to-day role."
Sam Towler, Tax Technician Apprentice

The programme
Our Tax Technician Apprenticeship is based within our accountancy and tax team.
During your apprenticeship, you can learn on the job while supporting our high-net-worth and global UK clients. During your apprenticeship, you’ll get involved in a wide range of tasks, including:
- Preparing and filing tax returns
- Corresponding with clients and HMRC
- Using commercial case management and tax software.
Our Tax Technician Apprenticeship scheme will give you a great chance to progress your career in the tax sector. At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll come away with a valuable industry-accredited tax qualification. If you have a genuine passion for finance, an ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) apprenticeship could be perfect for you.
This course is a great way to build your skills towards a Level 4 Professional Taxation Technician qualification, while also earning a wage. It’s a fantastic first step in your career.

What will I study?
Our Level 4 Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician Apprenticeship will help you learn how to apply your role within a business framework, understand the systems and processes used, as well as standard accounting and tax practices.
This course provides fundamental financial skills that can lead to a wide variety of roles, so is an excellent way to explore accounting and tax as a career within Irwin Mitchell. You can find out more information about the specific apprenticeship by visiting Level 4 Accounting Apprenticeships - BPP.
Where will the programme take me?
After completion, you can apply for membership to the relevant professional body, build a thriving career in a range of relevant job roles, and progress to our Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship to become a fully qualified Accountant.
