Gender Reassignment Discrimination Solicitors
No employee should suffer discrimination simply for being trans or non-binary. If you have been treated unfairly because of your gender identity, we can help you get the compensation and apology you deserve.

Who can claim for gender identity discrimination?
Gender reassignment discrimination can happen to a number of people in a number of different ways. It can be intentional, unintentional, or even occur as a pattern of behaviour.
It doesn’t matter if you have undergone any gender-affirming surgery or other medical treatment or not – you can still make a claim. We can help you if you have been treated unfairly because:
- You are transgender or non-binary
- Someone has mistakenly identified you as transgender or non-binary (discrimination by perception)
- You are connected to someone who is transgender or non-binary (discrimination by association)
If you have experienced discrimination, it probably falls into one of the following four categories:
- Direct Discrimination – when you are treated worse than another person in a similar situation because you are transgender. For example, if you are a salesperson who comes out as transgender, and your employer immediately stops allowing you to have contact with customers.
- Indirect Discrimination – when a rule or policy at your workplace puts transgender people at a disadvantage.
- Harassment – when someone makes you feel humiliated, offended or degraded because you are transgender. Examples of this would be bullying, intentional misgendering and deadnaming (intentionally using your old name if you now use a new one to match your gender identity).
- Victimisation – when you are treated badly after making a complaint about gender reassignment discrimination or supporting a colleague who has complained themselves.
