Which clients do you usually work with?

I mainly work with families whose child has suffered catastrophic neurological injuries through complications at birth caused by medical negligence.

I also work together with my team on cases involving cancer misdiagnosis, surgical errors, brain and neurological injuries to adults, and fatal medical negligence claims.

What notable cases have you worked on?

Recent cases I’ve successfully resolved include:

£10.2 million for a child injured at birth due to a delay in transferring them to theatre for an emergency C-section. The child will need 24-hour care for the rest of her life
£4 million for failure to diagnose spina bifida during pregnancy
£16.5 million for a delay in acting on signs of trauma during birth, resulting in the child developing cerebral palsy
Securing a £1.1 million interim payment to purchase a property while the case was ongoing for a severely disabled child with full-time care needs.

How do you help your clients achieve the best outcome?

To provide the best outcome we can for clients, it’s important to make sure every case is tailored to their specific needs.

Some clients will need 24-hour care teams in place as soon as possible. For others, the focus may be on securing more suitable accommodation, or extensive and tailored physiotherapy.

Particularly with children suffering from birth injuries, every case and child is unique. I really enjoy working with the families to build the structure and support that will provide the biggest change to their lives.

Whenever possible, I work to secure interim payments for my clients, which can fund treatment and care ahead of the claim being settled. I’ll also refer my clients to our in-house Support and Rehabilitation Coordinators, who are clinical specialists, to ensure they have all the support they need.
