Biography
I am Senior Associate specialising in divorce and complex financial settlements. I regularly deal with cohabitation disputes, separation agreements and financial provision for children of unmarried parents. I have a particular interest in the preparation of pre/post nuptial agreements ensuring sensible and effective wealth management.
I hold considerable expertise in children matters including disputes concerning living arrangements, schooling, health, external and internal relocation and those where there are welfare concerns relating to domestic abuse, controlling or coercive behaviour, or substance misuse.
My international practice regularly involves cases where there is an Irish element and representing clients based in the Gulf region.
I am a Resolution accredited specialist in both complex financial remedy and children matters.
I am an active member of many Anglo-Irish organisations in London and the South Coast including The Ireland Funds, London Irish Lawyers Association, and London Irish Business Society as well as a regular attendee at the annual Five Jurisdictions Family Law Conference.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The multi-disciplinary nature of the firm and the supportive working environment provides a unique opportunity to access a vast legal knowledge base. Ultimately, this results in a better service for our clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Most of our work takes place at a turbulent time in people's lives. I like advising people to help secure their future and move on to the next step in their life.
What inspired you to get into law?
What do you do away from the office?
As a father of two small and energetic children, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family in the South Downs or at the coast. I also enjoy both playing and watching football, tennis, and gaelic games - although the advancing years means the parts are starting to creak somewhat with the playing.
