Melody is an Associate in the High Net Worth and International Tax team. She is a dually qualified solicitor in England and Wales and Brazil and advises on a wide range of wealth and succession planning and tax matters, with focus on international tax elements.

Melody is also the author of a book on tax treaty abuse and the Principal Purpose Test rule (Arraes, 2022) and has contributed several book chapters and articles on tax matters. She also served as an adjunct lecturer at universities.
Melody holds two master’s degrees in international taxation: an MSc from PUC-MG, where she was ranked first in the entrance examination and received a government-funded scholarship for academic excellence (CAPES), and an LLM from Bournemouth University, where she was awarded an academic excellence scholarship.
