Lewis Quarmby

With over a decade of experience in the legal industry and six years practising as a Solicitor, I specialise in civil litigation and personal injury litigation. I have a particular focus on bullying and harassment and noise-induced hearing loss claims against the Ministry of Defence and I represent service personnel on a diverse set of injury types.

What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

I take great enjoyment in working in a supportive and nurturing firm. I also enjoy supporting junior colleagues and sharing my expertise to help shape other lawyers. Seeing others grow under my guidance is a meaningful part of my role and contributes to a positive firm culture.

I’m known for my calm, collected approach and strong technical knowledge, which fits in very well with Irwin Mitchell's culture.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

Helping clients navigate complex and often distressing personal injury claims, allows me to make a real difference in their lives. Securing justice or compensation can be life-changing for them, and being part of that process is deeply fulfilling.

What inspired you to get into law?

I was inspired to pursue a career in law by my passion for intellectual challenge and my natural ability to solve complex problems. I come from an army family and I’ve always been driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in service people's lives.

What do you do away from the office?

Outside of work, I’m an avid traveller with a love for cruise holidays, and I enjoy skiing whenever the opportunity arises. These experiences help me maintain a balanced perspective and bring fresh energy to my professional life.
