Jodie Buck

I am a Paralegal in the Will, Trust and Estate Disputes team in Leeds. I have experience in dealing with a variety of cases including: Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, in which we act for people who feel that they have not been reasonably financially provided for under a deceased person's will, will validity claims and estate disputes.

What inspired you to get into law?

Law is an area which affects everyone in some aspect of their daily lives, and it is an area which is ever-growing. I have always been keen to pursue a career in a field which is progressive and developing every day, which certainly keeps the role interesting!

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my role is being in a position to assist people in their times of need, and obtaining results that will improve their lives substantially. Being in this area means that I often encounter people who are bereaved and who have been left in very difficult positions. Securing a result which will have a positive impact on clients' lives is certainly the most rewarding aspect of this role.

What do you do away from the office?

I mainly enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am also an avid musical theatre fan and enjoy watching shows on the West End, Broadway and local theatres.
