Biography
I am a Solicitor working in the medical negligence team.
I qualified as a Solicitor in October 2021. Prior to working in medical negligence, I spent 10 years working in personal injury litigation.
Key Highlights
I work on a variety of medical negligence cases both fatal and non-fatal. I find it extremely rewarding supporting clients through the legal process and achieving a positive outcome for them.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is a firm that has decades of experience specialising in all areas of medical negligence. I am proud to work for a firm that focuses on client needs, helping client's access various services including rehabilitation. The firm also supports charitable causes that are close to my heart, including the cerebral palsy charity CP Cymru.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I care deeply about each of the cases I am involved in and take great pride representing the interests of my clients. Over time I get to know each of my clients and develop a relationship based on trust. I enjoy supporting clients through the legal process and obtaining answers for them regarding the failures in the care they have received. It is extremely rewarding to secure compensation for a client so that they can move forwards in their lives.
What inspired you to get into law?
I am the son of a Police Officer. My initial interest in law came from listening to my Dad speak of his experiences in the Police. I was extremely proud that my Dad spent his time protecting people and serving the public. This is what inspired me to get into law.
In terms of my interest in medical negligence, I was born with cerebral palsy. My parents pursued a claim for clinical negligence on my behalf, but the claim was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, I understand how poor medical treatment can impact all aspects of a person's life. This motivated me to want to act for individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by negligent medical treatment.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy going to the gym and keeping myself in relatively good shape. This is a necessity because I am very much a "foodie". I am an avid music fan and enjoy going to concerts whenever I can. I enjoy films and can often be found at the local cinema watching the latest releases. I also enjoy watching rugby and football. I support Leicester Tigers and Manchester United.
