Biography
I am an Associate Solicitor in the Public Law and Human Rights team. I specialise in health and welfare matters in the Court of Protection, Serious Medical Treatment cases and community care.
I act on behalf of vulnerable adults and their families in Court of Protection matters where there is a dispute relating to mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and best interests. I am frequently instructed by the Official Solicitor, Relevant Person's Representatives, Independent Mental Capacity Advocates, Care Act Advocates and families of vulnerable adults.
I represent family members of both adults and children where there is a dispute regarding medical treatment including cases regarding the withdrawal or provision of life sustaining treatment.
I also represent adults and/or families of vulnerable adults or children who wish to challenge decisions made by public bodies, including local authorities, integrated care boards and NHS Trusts in relation to their social and/or health care.
