Abuse Claims
Birmingham

Legal 500
I’m a partner and head of the firm’s Abuse practice, as well as leading our Birmingham Abuse team. I’ve spent over 15 years supporting people through what are often deeply distressing and complex cases, and I understand that approaching these claims with care and sensitivity is every bit as important as bringing strong legal expertise.
I’m an Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) Senior Litigator and a member of the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers. I’m recognised nationally for my work in this area, including being featured in publications such as The Times. Aside from claims against individual perpetrators, I regularly act in claims against organisations such as:
I represent individuals bringing sexual abuse and child abuse claims, supporting survivors to seek justice, accountability and compensation through the civil courts. My clients include both adults and children, often pursuing claims relating to historic abuse and abuse in institutional settings such as schools, care homes, NHS Trusts, religious organisations and other environments where they should have been safe.
As a sexual abuse solicitor, I specialise in handling complex and sensitive cases, including high-value claims, group claims, and claims where clients have been failed by systems or organisations. I regularly act against large organisations, well-funded institutions and high-profile individuals, and I’m experienced in navigating the challenges that come with pursuing claims against defendants with significant legal and financial resources.
My focus is always on achieving the best possible outcome for my clients, whether that’s securing abuse compensation, obtaining admissions of liability, or helping clients move forward with confidence.
