I’ve worked on various high-profile and complex sexual abuse and medical negligence cases, often involving systemic failings where the survivor was powerless.

I’m currently instructed on claims brought by survivors of abuse connected to Harrods and Mohamed Al Fayed, where I’ve advised clients on pursuing compensation through both civil litigation and the Harrods Redress Scheme. This work has involved supporting survivors through a developing, high-profile compensation framework, helping them secure meaningful financial redress in a trauma-informed and non-adversarial process.

I have also represented a number of patients in claims arising from the actions of Dr Iuliu Stan, a doctor struck off after it was found he subjected patients to unnecessary and invasive procedures for his own sexual gratification. I helped clients secure admissions of liability and compensation from the NHS Trust, achieving recognition of the abuse they suffered and access to vital support for their recovery.

More recently, I have been advising on claims arising from safeguarding failures within the hotel sector, including cases against Travelodge. These cases involve survivors who were sexually assaulted after attackers were wrongly given access to their rooms. My work focuses on investigating systemic failures in hotel security procedures, holding organisations to account for breaches of duty, and driving improvements in safety standards across the industry as more affected individuals come forward.

Across all my work, I’m often instructed in cases that are strongly defended and involve powerful organisations or high-profile individuals. I take pride in building robust, evidence-led cases and pursuing them with determination to ensure my clients’ voices are heard and those responsible are held to account.

From the outset, my priority is to understand what each client wants to achieve - whether that is financial compensation, accountability, an apology, or simply having their voice heard. That shapes the entire strategy of the case.

At the beginning of a claim, I carry out a detailed assessment of the evidence. Drawing on my background in both abuse and medical negligence claims, I work closely with leading experts to build the strongest case possible, which fully captures the impact of the abuse. I ensure that claims reflect the real-world consequences for clients, including more complex or novel losses where appropriate.

A key part of my approach is being flexible in how cases are resolved. While I’m always prepared to take cases to trial to get my clients the best result possible, I regularly use alternative dispute resolution to achieve the best outcomes for clients. This includes mediation, joint settlement meetings, redress schemes and bespoke settlement structures designed to minimise the stress of litigation and avoid my clients.

Throughout every case, I focus on giving clients a sense of control. Many have previously had their voice ignored or dismissed, so I make sure they are active participants in the process - fully informed, able to make decisions, and supported at every stage. I regularly meet clients in person and tailor my communication style to their individual needs, building trust and ensuring they feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

I also take a proactive and determined approach when dealing with defendants, particularly large organisations or well-resourced parties. I build clear, compelling cases and challenge denials to make sure no stone is left unturned in getting my clients the justice they deserve.

Ultimately, my aim is to achieve the best possible outcome in the way that matters most to each individual client.

From the very first meeting, my focus is on making you feel comfortable, supported and in control. I understand that speaking about abuse or deeply personal experiences can be difficult, so there is no pressure to share everything at once - we will go at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer flexibility in how and where we meet. This could be in person at one of our offices, remotely via video call or telephone, or in some cases I can arrange to meet you at a location where you feel most at ease. Many of my clients prefer an informal and private setting, and I will always do what I can to accommodate that.

The first meeting is primarily about listening. I will give you the space to talk through what has happened and what has brought you to seek legal advice. I’ll ask some gentle questions to understand the background, but just as importantly, I’ll want to understand what you hope to achieve - whether that’s compensation, accountability, an apology, or simply understanding your options.

I will then explain, in clear and straightforward terms, how the legal process works and what your options are. This includes discussing potential routes such as civil claims, redress schemes or other alternatives, as well as likely timescales and funding arrangements. My aim is to give you clarity and confidence so you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed.
