Biography
I have been working in the Costs Management Team since January 2011, and I qualified as a Costs Lawyer during 2014. I'm responsible for preparing all types of legal bills, schedules, negotiations and preparation of Replies to Points of Dispute.
What inspired you to get in to law?
I studied Law & Psychology at University, during my degree I became increasingly interested in Law and knew I wanted to work in this area after graduation.
I joined Irwin Mitchell during 2010 before joining the Costs Management Team a year later.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Being responsible for preparing Bills of Costs and for progressing the case through the Detailed Assessment Procedure I find reaching a positive conclusion rewarding. I also like helping conducting fee earners and clients with their costs queries.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Even though Irwin Mitchell is such a large firm, I feel genuinely valued as a member of the Costs Management Team. The firm manages to maintain a ’family’ feel.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I enjoy getting outdoors, I especially enjoy walking. I like to spend time with my family and friends as much as possible.
