Biography
The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of property and financial affairs of those individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves. I work within the Court of Protection (COP) team in Birmingham. I have been in the team for 13 years, and I manage my own caseload of professional deputyships and also advise lay deputies.
What inspired you to get into law?
My grandfather inspired me to get into law as he was a police officer. I wanted to help people as he did.
What do you do away from the office?
When I am not working, I devote my time to looking after my son.
