Biography
I have specialised in private client law for the past 18 years.
I am experienced in advising high-net-worth individuals and families in relation to succession planning and asset protection, advice and preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and associated deeds and documentation. I advise clients as to the best way to structure their Wills and assets so as to obtain maximum benefit for their family in the most tax efficient way, whilst taking into account the particular needs and circumstances of the intended beneficiaries.
I am also experienced in the administration of estates as well as the registration of trusts with HM Revenue & Customs Trust Registration Service.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Everyone is super friendly and supportive.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I love meeting with my clients and helping them with such an important aspect of their lives. I meet clients from all manner of backgrounds and familial circumstances, and I enjoy using my knowledge to tailor advice to meet their particular needs.
What inspired you to get into law?
I knew that I wanted to work in the law from quite a young age and I studied Law & German at university (so as to satisfy my love of languages also). Whilst undertaking the Legal Practice Couse (after completing my degree), I thought that I wanted to specialise in corporate law but once I experienced private client law in practice, I knew that it was for me.
What do you do away from the office?
I am kept very busy away from work with two sporty daughters and a golden retriever. If I get a rare moment where I am not watching a hockey or lacrosse match, I love to draw. I also enjoy reading and listening to music.
