This December, we’ve been decking the halls, as our excitement grows for the holidays.
To build excitement for the most wonderful time of the year, we unwrapped our Christmas card competition for children with additional needs. The winning entry will feature on our annual holiday e-card to clients. Entrants had the chance to win an iPad, with prizes for second and third place too.
This year, we were blown away that so many entries came down our chimney. We’d like to send everyone who submitted their artwork a festive thank you.
Our panel of judges loved seeing different takes on the festive spirit. Our partner Anna Stacey, said:
“We were amazed by how many entries we received for our competition this year, and it’s been a pleasure for me and my colleagues to judge the designs by such inspirational children.
“It was tough to pick a winner, and we even required a tie-break round, but we’re proud to showcase Aurora’s artwork on our Christmas e-card this year. We found her determination to be creative despite being severely sight impaired inspirational!
Here’s our pick of the entries we received that brought our judges so much joy.”
Our top three
Our Winner - Aurora de Paula Santos, aged 6 from Sheffield
Aurora is registered severely sight impaired. She loves to do tactile art. Underneath the Christmas Tree, made with pasta, pompoms and paper, it says: "Merry Christmas" in braille.

Second Place - Oscar, aged 3 from Northumberland

Oscar was so excited to see his first proper snow of the year this week. He couldn’t wait to get out in the garden and recreate his favourite film- the Snowman and the Snowdog. After having fun in the snow we came in to warm up and make some festive crafts. Oscar’s snowman picture is inspired by both his favourite film and the snowy fun we had.
Third Place - Lily, aged 16 from Norwich

Lily was inspired by a theme of spending time with family at Christmas and visiting the market area in Norwich.
Here are some of the other fantastic entries…
James, aged 12 from Leeds

Mille, aged 11 from Canterbury

Theodore, aged 5 from Warminster

William and Henry, aged 6 from Ferrybridge

Olly, aged 9 from Wirral

Darsha, aged 11 from Stafford
