Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate team has advised Swedish company Eduviva Group on its acquisition of TTS, a leading UK provider of educational products, curriculum-led learning resources and furniture, for a total enterprise value of up to £53.5 million.

TTS is the trading name of Nottingham-headquartered RM Educational Resources Ltd, which Eduviva Group has acquired with its subsidiaries from RM plc.

The acquisition gives Eduviva Group a strong platform in the UK education market, significantly strengthens its international business-to-business operations and supports its ambition to become the European number one source of inspirational and sustainable solutions for creative and playful learning.

The Irwin Mitchell team was led by Bryan Bletso, Head of International, alongside Legal Director Alex Kyrychenko and Douglas Kitchen.

Bryan Bletso, Head of International at Irwin Mitchell, said:

“We are delighted to have advised Eduviva Group on this important acquisition, which establishes a strong platform for the business in the UK and supports its continued expansion across Europe.

“TTS is a well-established business with a strong market position, deep customer insight and an impressive portfolio of educational products. It is highly complementary to Eduviva Group’s existing businesses and creates significant opportunities for the two organisations to share expertise, develop new products and support further international growth.

“This was a significant cross-border transaction and it was a pleasure to work with the Eduviva Group team and support them in completing the deal.”

David Persson, CEO Eduviva Group, said:

“TTS has a strong heritage, deep customer insights and a differentiated portfolio of proprietary educational products. Welcoming TTS to our group will significantly support our ambition to become the European number one source of inspirational and sustainable solutions for creative and playful learning. The TTS business is highly complementary to our group and gives us a strong platform in the UK, while also strengthening our international offering. Together, we see significant opportunities to develop new products, share expertise and create even more value for teachers and learners.”

TTS will become part of Eduviva Group as a standalone business unit, supporting its future growth through access to the group’s wider product range, sourcing expertise and European network, while creating new opportunities for collaboration across the business.
