Irwin Mitchell appoints new Partner and Senior Associate in Scotland

New serious injury and medical negligence specialists join the growing team

Irwin Mitchell has strengthened the firm’s expertise in complex personal injury litigation with the appointment of a new specialist serious injury Partner and a senior associate in the medical negligence team.

Amy Gannon joins Irwin Mitchell as Head of Serious Injury in Scotland and brings extensive experience in high value traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputation cases, as well as a wide range of serious personal injury matters including road traffic, employers’ liability and occupiers’ liability claims.

At Irwin Mitchell Amy will continue to act for clients who have suffered life changing injuries or those affected by fatal accidents, alongside supporting colleagues across the firm with her specialist and trauma informed expertise.

Amy is a Law Society of Scotland accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and a Notary Public. She is also certified by the Law Society of Scotland as a Trauma Informed Lawyer, reflecting her specialist approach to supporting clients affected by life changing injuries.

Senior Associate Lorna Hale has also joined the Scotland team and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in medical negligence law. She is experienced in litigating a wide range of medical negligence cases and representing clients who have sustained complex and life-changing injuries including brain damage, visual loss & amputation.
