Irwin Mitchell Appoints New Specialist International Serious Injury Lawyer

Leading law firm Irwin Mitchell is strengthening its expertise in its international serious injury department by appointing a new senior associate.

Michael Hagan joined the firm on 16 June 2025, from Fletchers Solicitors.  He’ll be based in Manchester and will be helping clients across the north-west.

Michael, known as Mike, brings with him 16 years of experience working as a personal injury lawyer.  He specialises in international law including road traffic collisions, aviation and marine incidents and package holiday cases, as well as jurisdictional disputes.

His milestone cases include securing a six-figure settlement for a client who was involved in a road traffic accident in France.

Mike’s also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), and a Recommended Legal 500 lawyer.

His appointment further strengthens the international serious injury team at Irwin Mitchell following on from the addition of partner Fern Mapp to our Scottish team in January.
