Experienced Private Client Solicitor & Two Paralegals Join The Firm As North East Investment Continues

Irwin Mitchell has bolstered its Newcastle team with the recruitment of three experienced and regarded private client lawyers.

Wendy Mustard joins the team as a solicitor advising on all aspects of private client work including succession planning, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate and trust administration and advising trustees and beneficiaries generally.

Wendy has a particular focus on working with clients who are elderly or vulnerable as a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a Dementia Friend. Wendy brings with her a breadth of experience, having worked in the private client field for over 12 years; she was previously head of wills, trusts and probate at Richard Reed Solicitors in Sunderland and she has also worked at larger firms in the region. Wendy is a Trustee of charity, Grace House North East and is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Clare McIntosh and Racheal Williamson have also joined the team as highly experienced paralegals. Both Clare and Rachael have significant experience combining over two decades between them of working in the private client field, with a particular interest in estate administration.

The Irwin Mitchell private client services team in the North East was recently shortlisted for Private Client Team of the Year at the Northern Law Awards, and the firm continues to support the continued growth of the team and their valued presence in the local community; this year alone the team have completed significant pro bono work in the region for a local cancer charity. The team are really excited for the future.
