

Fatal Accident In West Midlands

A man died in the West Midlands last week after being trapped between a forklift truck and a lorry, it has been revealed.
The 42-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead on Thursday at a business park in Halesowen.
Emergency services were informed of the accident at 2.25pm in the Coombs Wood Business Park, on Steel Park Road.
West Midlands Police and the Health and Safety Executive are now carrying out a full investigation into the death.
A police spokesman said: "Preliminary police inquiries at the scene have revealed no suspicious circumstances but, as usual in such instances, officers are preparing an initial report for the coroner, who has been informed."

“Forklift truck operations pose a very real risk of workers being injured or killed in a work accident if their use is not properly assessed and risks appropriately managed.”
