Our Culture

Our commitment to you
We’re curious, compassionate and collaborative. We understand how much our clients need our colleagues and we go above and beyond to deliver for them.
Our proud history makes us motivated to deliver value in all we do. Trust is really important here. You feel empowered to achieve due to the way we time record, use flexible adjusted targets and have a hybrid approach to working.
We're forward thinking, diverse, inclusive and responsible. We can’t have a great culture without great people.

- To work with a foundation of integrity.
The human touch that matters to Kate

"Responsible business is about the commitment we’ve made to embedding responsible practices into our culture. It's about making sure that everybody within the organisation has responsible business as part of their day job.
I think responsible business really captures our culture and what we're trying to do to make an impact on our clients, our colleagues and our communities."
- Kate Fergusson, Head of Responsible Business
Working together to drive change
Our Responsible Business strategyWe believe in creating a sustainable future where everyone can thrive. We use the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global ‘to do list’, to make sure we’re tackling the challenges we all face. We’ve reviewed all 169 targets outlined in the SDG and we’ve identified the targets that are most relevant to our organisation.
Irwin Mitchell Charities FoundationEveryone at Irwin Mitchell is encouraged to give back to our communities with charitable fundraising and volunteering. We each get two volunteering days a year to use how we wish to help a charitable cause that's close to our hearts. The Irwin Mitchell Charity Foundation also gives us opportunities to work together towards greater fundraising targets, with Irwin Mitchell matching any donations we make through pre-tax salary sacrifice.
Powerful voices and personal storiesOur Imagine What's Possible campaign focuses on the inspirational stories of our clients who are navigating life-changing injuries and illnesses. We have partnered with two hosts, Jake Brown, winner of Traitors S3 and England Cerebral Palsy Footballer and Amy Conroy, amputee, GB Basketball player and four-time Paralympian, to share the journeys of our personal injury and medical negligence clients to debunk the myths around legal claims.
