Biography
I'm a senior associate solicitor in the Court of Protection, based in our Sheffield office. I've worked in Court of Protection since 2012, having previously worked in Wills, Trusts and Estates.
I work closely with clients who have suffered a personal injury and received a subsequent financial compensation settlement. This includes Trust and Deputyship work in many fields such as employment, property, Wills, and public law. I also deal with Statutory Wills, Personal Injury Trusts, and applications to Court.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I chose law as it represented a challenge. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, especially starting a family at the same time, but I wanted to not only learn and understand the law, but also be able to make a difference to others, as well as my family and friends.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
The most rewarding aspect of the job is helping to protect and support some extremely vulnerable people with, on occasion, all aspects of their lives.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I love most sports - I play football and cricket regularly, and I'm actively involved in the running of my cricket club. I also have the enjoyable challenge of raising two extremely cheeky and demanding young children.
