Biography
I’m a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team at Irwin Mitchell. I qualified as a Solicitor in October 2020. However, I have worked within Medical Negligence since 2016.
I specialise in representing people injured as a result of medical negligence by hospitals, healthcare providers or GPs. My caseload encompasses all aspects of medical negligence, including delayed and missed diagnoses, surgical injuries, maternal injuries and orthopaedic injuries.
I also assist more senior members of the team with their high value cases, including birth injury claims, spinal injuries and adult brain injury claims.
I also represent and support bereaved families where they have lost a loved one due to negligence.
I am passionate about achieving a successful outcome for my clients.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
It definitely has to be my fantastic colleagues. I am thrilled to be working alongside some of the greatest legal minds in the medical negligence sphere. On top of this, having lovely and supportive colleagues makes working in such an emotional and stressful area of law much easier.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
It may sound cheesy, but achieving a successful outcome for my client is the main reward for me. Often, I support my clients for many years through some extremely tough times. Breaking the news that they will receive compensation and the litigation will end, is one of my favourite parts of my job. I love hearing about how the award will change their lives for the better.
What inspired you to get into law?
As a self-confessed nerd, I loved the academic challenge studying law provided me. However, I would also like to think that I am the type of lawyer who fights for the underdog. I have always been drawn to the story of David and Goliath, and this is what attracted me to the legal profession. I see it as a way to stand up for those who feel unheard or outmatched, to challenge injustice, and to use knowledge as a tool for change.
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of my legal role, I keep myself busy being a mum to a very energetic toddler. I am also a huge foodie, so I spend as much time as possible trying out new cuisines and restaurants.

Highly, highly recommend! Toni and the team were amazing. Toni in particular was very thorough, communicated very well and responded to all queries/emails very promptly. Can’t thank them enough for the work they’ve done to allow me to improve my quality of life after the medical negligence. - 5* Trustpilot review
