I am a solicitor in the Northern Employment Team who deals with a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting on behalf of both businesses and individuals. I have an enthusiasm for helping clients navigate the complexities of workplace relations, from drafting contracts and policies to resolving employment disputes.
I am regularly involved in assisting clients with Employment Tribunal proceedings and have successfully represented and defended a wide range of claims. I also have experience in supporting employees and employers in negotiating exit and settlement agreements.
Additionally, I provide practical advice on workplace matters and non-contentious aspects of employment law, such as helping navigate internal grievance and disciplinary processes, drafting contracts of employment together with internal policies, redundancies and reorganisations, and discrimination issues.
I am also passionate about increasing social mobility in the legal industry, believing that equal access and opportunities are essential for a diverse and inclusive legal profession. I am a mentor to aspiring solicitors through various organisations.
I'm certain that she regularly shines as a colleague as a result of her work ethic and intelligence. I wanted to comment specifically on how capable she has been providing appropriate support and advice to us as clients. She was a very reassuring, calm and professional presence throughout the tribunal. It has been a real pleasure to be present at the start of what I hope will be a very distinguished career. - Vice Chair of Governors, Client
James Battle and Tiffany Heppell both supported my husband and me through a legal process. James was very supportive, knowledgeable, personable and made a huge and positive difference to the stressful and difficult time we were experiencing. During James’ leave, Tiffany picked up the reins and was equally as supportive. We highly recommend them. We would have no doubt in reaching out to Irwin Mitchell, and in particular James and Tiffany should the need ever arise. - Client's partner
