Biography
I’m a solicitor in the clinical negligence team in the Newcastle Office. I studied Law at Northumbria University and graduated with a Law degree, Masters in Law and Legal Practice Course qualification.
I joined Irwin Mitchell as a medical negligence paralegal in the Newcastle office in September 2018. In September 2019, I transferred to the London office and qualified as a solicitor in 2021. I returned to the Newcastle office in February 2025 and continue to work as a medical negligence specialist solicitor.
I have a varied medical law experience, including: fatal claims, delay in diagnosis claims, misdiagnosis claims, negligent treatment, psychiatric claims and surgical performance errors. I also represent client's that have suffered an amputation and/or birth injury and have represented families at inquest.
I’m committed to getting the best outcome for my clients, while providing a service with a human touch.
What inspired you to get into law?
It is very cliché, but I’ve always wanted to be a lawyer. I think I was probably drawn in by watching a gripping TV programme as a child and I haven’t changed my mind since.
I chose my GCSE and A Level subjects on the basis that I would study law at University. I’m very determined and once I set myself a goal, I don’t stop until I achieve it.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I feel privileged to be able to assist my client’s through difficult times and get them the answers and favourable outcomes they deserve, to help them move forwards with their lives.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
At Irwin Mitchell, I’m part of a team who supports each other and their clients. We offer a wide range of services, so if a client needs legal assistance with other aspects of their lives, I’m able to refer them to my colleagues to help them.
What do you do away from the office?
I love spending time with my family and friends. My favourite pastimes are watching live music, eating out and going for dog walks with my Cavapoo named Biscuit.
