I am a solicitor in the Serious Injury team at Irwin Mitchell, working in the London office.
I specialise in serious accidents which result in life changing injuries and have a particular interest in those accidents resulting in brain injury.
I have experience of dealing with claims arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and accidents in a public place.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
Accidents can be extremely traumatic events. Injured people and their families often don't know who to turn to as they have never been in such a situation before.
I became a personal injury lawyer as I wanted to help people navigate such a difficult point in their lives and ensure that they had the best representation to guide them through the process. I feel that it is important that victims of serious accidents have someone they trust fighting their corner.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
For me, the most rewarding part of my role is seeing the difference that rehabilitation can make to the injured person throughout the claim. The aim of a personal injury claim is that by the time the claim has come to an end, the injured person has recovered as far as is possible and has everything they need in order to move forwards with their lives.
It is therefore important that we achieve the best settlement for the injured person as is possible, to ensure that their ongoing needs are protected.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
I am fortunate to work with other solicitors who really are experts in their fields. My colleagues and I will often share our knowledge across the various departments, to ensure that our clients can benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience throughout our business.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I am a keen skier, although I fear that my enthusiasm outweighs my skill!
I am originally from Liverpool and despite living in London for many years, I still enjoy visiting all of the fantastic tourist attractions London has to offer.
