Stacey Hanson

Other Legal Expert

I have worked as a Paralegal in the Medical Negligence department since November 2013. I work within a small team which handles cases which are expected to settle for limited value.

I manage my own caseload and have worked on cases dealing with missed fractures, delays in diagnosis, negligent surgical procedures and fatal cases. My role involves taking initial instructions, investigating and valuing claims.

I also have experience working in Irwin Mitchell's Wills and Court of Protection departments.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

In medical negligence cases, clients have often experienced traumatising and difficult situations.  It is always rewarding to uncover answers to the questions that clients have, with a view to achieving a settlement of their claim.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

It's great to work for a law firm that has a number of specialisms. I am fortunate to work alongside talented and motivated lawyers who care deeply about their clients.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

Away from the office I am keen to keep fit and embark on new adventures. I also volunteer at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust at weekends, taking visitors on tours around the farm.
