Biography
I am a paralegal in the family law team, based in the Chichester office.
I joined Irwin Mitchell’s family team in 2015, after a year working in the firm’s commercial real estate team. I'm an associate member of CILEx and am studying to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.
I work alongside the other fee earners in the South Coast region dealing with all aspects of family law, relationship breakdown, and children law including:
- Divorce
- Financial settlements
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Child arrangements
- Separation agreements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Domestic violence non-molestation and occupation orders.
I adopt a sensitive but practical approach and am passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for our clients in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
What inspired you to get into law?
I wanted a varied career that was challenging, working directly with people. Family law lets me use my knowledge, skills and expertise to guide and support those facing some of their greatest difficulties. In this role, I can directly and positively impact upon their lives.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Often when clients first instruct us, they're feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed, lost and uncertain about their situation or what their future holds. It's incredibly rewarding to guide them through these challenging times and processes and help them discover the light at the end of the tunnel.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell is a firm where their people and clients are at the heart of all that they do.
The national family team consists of some of the most highly-regarded lawyers in the industry with a combined wealth of knowledge and expertise.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of a firm which offers on-going training and development to its employees. It means we can consistently offer the best support and service to our clients, as a team and firm.
What do you do away from the office?
I have a passion for interior design. I love decorating and am partial to a spot of DIY!
When I haven't got a paintbrush in my hand, I enjoy fitness, travel and socialising with friends and family.
