Biography
I am a Solicitor in the Public Law & Human Rights department, based in our Gatwick office. I joined Irwin Mitchell as a Trainee Solicitor in August 2021, and qualified as a solicitor in August 2023.
I specialise in Court of Protection matters and am experienced in working with vulnerable people and their families. I regularly act for individuals who lack capacity to make decisions about their health and welfare.
I also specialise in Education law, and am expanding my skills and experience in representing children, parents and young people in a range of appeals to the SEND Tribunal. I am also gaining experience advising and representing parents in relation to judicial review actions against local authorities on a variety of issues including SEN transport.

Irwin Mitchell is a genuinely kind and supportive place to work. Every day I work with some of the best lawyers in the country, and their passion for what they do is palpable.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I really enjoy working with a wide variety of people from all walks of life, and helping them find a solution to their problem. Delivering good news to a client will always be my favourite part of my role.
What inspired you to get into law?
In a previous life I worked in the charity sector, and loved working for an organisation that contributed positively to society. After a few years I realised that, while I enjoyed the sector, I really wanted a role that allowed me to work directly with vulnerable people and use my skills and experience to help solve their problems. I decided that a career in law was the answer, and after many years completing all my legal studies, here I am!
What do you do away from the office?
When I'm not at work I enjoy exploring all the good places to eat that London has to offer, spending time with family and friends, and walking my dog, Bonnie.
