I am a Senior Associate in the workplace illness team in Leeds. I graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2000, before returning home to Leeds and qualifying as a solicitor in 2004.
I have specialised in asbestos related disease claims from an early stage in my career, with a particular interest in mesothelioma.
My aim is to provide a sensitive, caring and supportive approach to what is a very difficult time for clients. I strive to deliver swift and efficient legal advice in order to obtain the best possible outcome in the shortest space of time.
"We engaged Irwin Mitchell to pursue a claim on behalf of my father-in-law, who tragically died from mesothelioma. At all stages of the process the team demonstrated exceptional skills, experience, professionalism and empathy. I would strongly recommend Irwin Mitchell to anyone who is thinking of pursuing a compensation claim for Mesothelioma or any other occupational illness and injury." – Client
Being able to offer support to people at a time when they are at their most vulnerable and to work tirelessly to deliver justice for them and their families.
Being able to work as part of an experienced and dedicated team of specialists who constantly have the best interests of their clients at the forefront of their minds.
I'm an avid lover of sport, particularly football, rugby and cricket. Unfortunately, my involvement is more armchair than active these days, but I am lucky that my young family keep me busy enough to burn off (most of) the required daily calories.
“In many communities, hospices play such an important role in helping families and their loved ones during difficult times. We are pleased that we have been able to assist Dove House Hospice in their care of patients by reclaiming a significant sum of money to help with their costs. It is a way for the families to say thank you.”
“Many of our cases related to asbestos exposure in industrial environments, but this is one of several examples where an individual has seemingly come into contact with the material indirectly.
“Our clients are understandably devastated by their loss but are determined to continue with the case related to her illness. We would be hugely grateful to anyone who can recall working with John Jackson in the 1960s or has information regarding the construction of Ferrybridge C which could support our efforts.”
“Through our work we see time and time again how the true consequences of asbestos exposure often only come to light many decades after the contact with the material has taken place.
“Our client was understandably devastated by her diagnosis and her health has deteriorated significantly since the news. As such we are determined to work quickly to help her gain the answers she deserves regarding the illness. We would be grateful to anyone who may be able to come forward and support our work.”
“Through our work we have seen numerous examples of how exposure to asbestos can have devastating consequences on workers, with such cases often revolving around industrial environments or the construction industry.
“Sadly we were only able to very briefly speak to John prior to his death, so we are keen to develop a clearer understanding of the working conditions he would face while working for these companies. Any support could prove vital in our efforts to get his family the justice they deserve.”
