Biography

I am a Trainee Solicitor representing clients navigating complex occupational disease claims.

I have over 3 years of litigation experience, primarily in the field of complex personal injury litigation.  In particular, I am experienced in claims involving silicosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), work-related asthma, chemical poisoning, work related cancers and hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS).

What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

For me, law has always been about helping people.  At Irwin Mitchell, we place a real emphasis on combining legal expertise with empathy and ensuring that clients feel supported as well as advised.  I value being part of a firm where colleagues are encouraged to make a positive difference to the lives of those we help.  Working alongside people who share my values is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my role is helping clients navigate what can often feel like a daunting and unfamiliar legal process.  Many of the clients I work with have no prior experience of litigation and are facing the significant impact of a work-related illness on their daily lives.  Being able to guide them through the process, provide reassurance, and make the law feel accessible is incredibly rewarding.  It is particularly fulfilling to see the difference that successful outcomes and compensation can make to helping clients with their financial security, accessing support, or providing a sense of justice and closure.

What inspired you to get into law?

I have always wanted to pursue a career which will allow me to use both my academic and analytical skills, and my personal capacity to create meaningful relationships.  Knowing this, pursuing a career in the law – particularly personal legal services – has always been my goal.

What do you do away from the office?

Away from the office, I love to embrace the arts.  Whether it's a West End musical or a rock or metal gig, I love experiencing the creativity and energy of live performances.  When I'm not at a show, you can find me curled up with a good book or spending time with family and friends.
