Biography
Louise Lumley is Interim Group Chief Operating Officer, leading our legal advisors and our client facing operational teams.
Louise began her career working for Direct Line Group, leading one of Direct Line’s largest business partnerships before setting up and then subsequently leading a specialist high net worth insurance business within Direct Line. She joined Irwin Mitchell in December 2014 and became Managing Director for our market leading Personal Injury business in 2019 joining the Executive Board. In 2021 Louise became Deputy Chief Operating Officer and in 2023, following the appointment of Craig Marshall as Group CEO, she was appointed Interim Group Chief Operating Officer.
Louise is a change agent and is passionate about creating an environment which empowers teams to drive business improvements which deliver sustainable benefits and outstanding client outcomes.
She originally studied History at the University of Sheffield before joining the graduate scheme at RBS Insurance (now Direct Line Group).
