Biography
I am a Chartered Legal Executive in the Court of Protection team at Irwin Mitchell, based in our London office. I joined the firm in 2020 and qualified in 2022, specialising in the management of property and financial affairs for individuals who lack capacity to do so themselves. My role involves supporting vulnerable clients, often following serious injury or clinical negligence, to manage their finances and make decisions that reflect their best interests and personal wishes.
I assist with a wide range of matters including budgeting, day-to-day financial management, and the purchase and adaptation of properties to meet clients’ needs. I work closely with Deputies, families, and other professionals to ensure that each client receives tailored support that promotes independence and quality of life. I am passionate about delivering compassionate, client-focused care and helping individuals navigate complex financial arrangements with confidence and dignity.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
One of the things I value most about working at Irwin Mitchell is the people. Everyone is incredibly friendly, approachable, and driven, which creates such a supportive and collaborative environment. I also feel really fortunate to work alongside Partners and Senior colleagues who have such a wealth of knowledge and experience in Court of Protection work. There’s always something to learn, and their guidance has been invaluable in helping me grow both professionally and personally.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding part of my role is knowing that I’m making a real difference in my clients’ lives—both in the everyday and the extraordinary. Whether it’s helping them manage their finances so they can feel secure day-to-day, or supporting them through major milestones like moving into a new, specially adapted home or going on a well-deserved holiday that meets all their needs, it’s incredibly fulfilling. Seeing the positive impact of our work, no matter how big or small, is what makes this role so meaningful to me.
What inspired you to get into law?
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to work in law and that desire only grew stronger as I learned more about the impact the law can have, especially in protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals.
What do you do away from the office?
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me out running, chasing after my two dogs, or catching up with friends over good food and a laugh. I love being outdoors and staying active, it’s the perfect balance to the busy workday!
