I’m a solicitor based in the Southampton office, specialising in road traffic accidents, accidents at work, falls from a height and chemical exposure. I have over 10 years of experience in helping adults and children claim compensation for personal injuries both in the UK and abroad.

What inspired you to get into law?

Having experienced personal injury in the military myself, I’m aware of the traumatic effect injuries can have on people. I wanted to be in a position where I could help people and their families through this difficult time.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

I enjoy helping people who’ve suffered in an accident. I’m proactive and focused on my clients and know how uncertain the time after an injury can be, especially if it results in a forced career change.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

The office is lovely, and I enjoy working with like-minded people who care about their clients.

What do you do away from the office?

I have a cocker spaniel puppy, Flynn, who is a handful and needs lots of hikes and walks. I enjoy meeting up with my family, who are spread across Europe and the US. I also love catching up with friends and eating good food.

It is notable that there is a small but persistent core of drink driving reoffenders and more needs to be done to cut out this irresponsible behaviour. Safety campaigners have suggested different methods such as the introduction of locking systems in cars which require a clear breath sample to be given before the ignition can be started in a vehicle. These are already being trialled in many European countries, and the European Transport Safety Council has reported that as many as 5000 deaths could be prevented every year if drink drivers in Europe were stopped from starting a vehicle.”
