Laura Spackman
Solicitor
Biography
I am a solicitor in the Public Law and Human Rights team at Irwin Mitchell. I trained at the firm and qualified in 2025, specialising in judicial review claims and civil liberties.
I have a particular interest in proceedings on behalf of victims of trafficking and modern slavery, including acting in judicial review challenges against the Secretary of State for the Home Department.
My civil liberties practice involves claims against various public authorities, such as:
- Assisting individuals who may have been unlawfully detained in immigration removal centres and wish to pursue claims against the Home Office.
- Acting for clients in claims against the police, such as for unlawful arrest, assault, or breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998.
